Online and face-to-face supervision
Starting in October 2024 I am undertaking further supervision training and have two low-fee spaces available for supervisees. Contact me for more information.
The supervision I offer is a collaborative approach to a venture which seeks to ensure that your client work is as effective, safe and enjoyable as possible. I bring many years' work as a therapist in differing settings to this role, as well as my own ongoing experience of being supervised. My supervision training is ongoing too - and of course, I have supervision of my supervision.
Supervision can sometimes feel like something we just have to do as therapists. I hope to move you beyond that to a relationship where - through mutual sharing of understanding, engagement and relationship - supervision can become a place where you learn, reflect, develop insight and awareness, and as a result are re-energised in the demanding work you undertake.
My model of supervision incorporates the seven-eye model of Hawkins and Shohet and also draws on the insights of the Integrated Developmental Model of Stoltenberg et al. Depending on your clinical experience - whether a newly qualified therapist, or someone with many years' work behind you - I work to offer support and input relevant to your needs.
If you are a member of BACP, I recommend reading the Good Practice in Action resource 'How to Choose a Supervisor': there are some important pointers here to guide you in your thinking as you consider who to work with in this important relationship. (GPiA - 008).
I have extensive experience of working with individuals and couples and can offer supervision of your therapeutic work in both scenarios.
Feel free to contact me for an initial no-obligation discussion about your work and the kind of supervision you need.
